Laptop, handycam, camera and iPod stolen...

Rox Flame - Laptop Stolen

Today is a sad day.

My Dell XPS laptop has been stolen, along with a Sony HD Handycam an iPod Touch and Canon PowerShot camera, loaded with photos, right from my office at Creative Spaces on Dixon Street.

While I have been super careful to make sure all of my most important work is backed up elsewhere, the thing that really sucks is my photos being gone. I had them stored in 3 locations, one of them being the laptop, another being an SD card inserted in the laptop, and the third being my camera, all of which are now gone. Which means that asides from the photos I managed to upload to facebook, all of my photos and video footage from my holiday in Istanbul and London, and my 3 months in the middle east in Bahrain teaching students, are gone.

Why do people do things like this? Clearly the gain they would have with taking my laptop can't compare to the loss I have in losing it...

This post is here in the hopes that the person that has my laptop decides to google my name, or the details of the laptop, or search me out in some way, even if out of pure curiosity. If they do, then maybe they will find this post on my website... or shared via friends on social media...

Maybe if they are a friend of a friend of an a acquaintance, then this message will get to them somehow, and they will have the heart to return my belongings... If it is returned, then no charges will be laid by me, and I'll cease any police investigations regarding this gear. If you are not the person that has taken my things but you have any information that may be of help then please by any means get in touch. You can e-mail me at rox@roxflame.com. I would be eternally grateful and would find some way of rewarding anyone that comes forward.
