Found this silly little Schick 3D face thing. It's pretty cool, I look really creepy :P
Never mind the fact that they structured it like a schick ad..
I don't even use schick razors...
DOOM!!!
8:29pm - Tue Aug 12, 2008
Hey everyone, been ages since I updated, just letting you all know I'm still alive and well.
Leftbanker has been coming along nicely. It can be viewed on the CUDDL website now.
Leftbanker Delay
9:20am - Fri Jun 20, 2008
The Zine in which I was a big part in creating is now being delayed slightly. Probably for about 1 week
This is because due to some hitches, the restaurant we are launching it at is longer having it opening night on the 21st June. Most likely will be opening on the 28th along with our publication.
On the + side, at least this gives us some extra time to make our first issue super awesome.
Leftbanker Zine
9:48pm - Mon Jun 16, 2008
On June 21, CUDDL will be releasing its first publication. This is aimed at the wellington youth/arts/indymedia crowd. If you would like to contribute to the publication or advertise in it then contact us at cuddl.co.nz@gmail.com
We are distributing this publication primarily in shops on Leftbank Arcade, as this is a thriving cultural centre of Wellington. The 1st edition will be available at the grand opening of Moroccan Restaurant La Kasbah over the weekend June 21-22nd, located on Leftbank Arcade off Cuba Street.
Future editions will be printed in larger runs and distributed around the city, we aim to provide young creative Wellintonians with a great source of entertainment, information, reviews, and advice.
This cold and stubborn night, with a harsh wind, somewhat resembling the way in which you once spoke to me. I sit in lament of our silent cacophany, this twisted choreography. In the dark, the screen flickers in and out of dreams, waking from unintended slumber to find myself over and over again. Candles all burnt out, playlist has ended.
You seem bored...
America and Cluster bombs...
6:52pm - Fri May 30, 2008
Recently, over 100 countries signed an agreement not to produce or use cluster bombs (bombs which disperse into hundreds of smaller explosives before impact). Cluster bombs leave 5 to 30% undetonated explosive behind and later cause death to civilians and innocent children whom unknowingly pick them up. Of course somehow America not only refused to sign this treaty, but also forced the UN to add a piece at the end allowing other countries that banned the bombs to still ally with them and thus vicariously leach benefits of cluster bombs through them.. This is rediculous. FOR FUCKS SAKE AMERICA, WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR GOVERNMENT UP TO! (if you don't like the language, deal with it, this issue is far more serious than that of bad words)
Of course I have to add, China and Russia also didn't sign, probably so that they could still fight America with them should the situation arise.
On a more positive note, at least there are over 100 countries whom have agreed to ban and destroy these weapons.
48 Hour Film Competition 2008
9:53am - Mon May 19, 2008
We've just finished the insane madness which was the 48 hour film competition. By "We've" I mean 'CUDDL' or (collaborative underground dangerous design label) which is a group of young highly talented wellintonians which have been magically bought together by powers unknown (disguised as Alex Matthews) to create, enjoy, prosper, and generally rock your socks off. The 48 hour film competition, for those of you who don't know, is a film competition run in NZ in which you have to create a 1-7 minute film in 48 hours. On the day you are told what needs to be in your film. We got, 1 brush of any kind, 1 perfectionist by the name of Keri Post, the line "wait a minute", and the genre 'mystery movie'.
All in all, the weekend was insanely fun, but we were a little overambitious and didnt quite finish our 14 page epic (We were daaaaamn close though). Once weve actually completed the film it will be uploaded on my webpage and on youtube.
-EDIT
OK well we did actually end up handing something in, in the late hand-in. It's screening tonight at 9.15 at the paramount theatre in wellington.. Its going to rule! the film we handed in was an excessively last minute entry and is quite hilarious. We had to film it off the computer screen with a camera without even previewing our final edit, there is still parts with director saying "action" "cut" etc, and the whole film has us talking about it and laughing at the problems in the background (due to having to tape it from the screen). We've also decided to enter our actual final edit into the fringe film festival, which will be good.
Converting my myspace...
10:48am - Thu May 15, 2008
Ok I've just found out I can convert my myspace profile into a Music Profile, so I'm going to do that instead of deleting it, and delete my other music one instead.. This is because all my friends are on the current myspace profile. Also makes logging in and keeping all my messages way easier. :)
Myspace, Bebo, Facebook...
9:26am - Tue May 13, 2008
Hey everyone...
Just letting you all know that I'm deleting my bebo profile, and also my main myspace profile... This is because I have set up a facebook page. Previously I had 2 myspace pages (one for music) and a bebo page. Now I have 1 Facebook page, and one Myspace music page. Just thought it would make things simpler, especially considering I also have to maintain this website, a reverbnation music profile, and a deviantart profile...
If I were really on the ball, I would also be maintaining my fineartamerica and artbasher profiles... But its quite alot to manage...
So, for those of you who have me as a Myspace friend or Bebo friend, add me on my myspace music profile or find me on facebook.
Music
11:38am - Mon May 12, 2008
Hey everyone. I'm updating the music player on my site yet again. This is because I've just recently been making alot more music than I normally would, and signed myself up for a reverbnation profile. Reverbnation happened to have a way cooler and more beneficial music player available for free on the site. So i'll be shortly switching over to that. This player will only have songs I've done that I consider to be complete, whereas my old player had a bunch of half finished/short stuff on it. Access to my shorter experimental and incomplete tracks will still be available via a second link within the music tab of my webage. One of the great features of this player is a built in blog (so I can mention upcoming tracks etc)
Heres what the new player looks like (I will probably change the backdrop image before its fully uploaded to the music section)
Expect to see this within the music section of my site in a couple of days.
New track
1:22am - Sat May 10, 2008
Hey everyone, just made a new track.. Its not fully mastered yet, but its still freakin rad. Here it is for your listening pleasure.
Anzac Day
4:27pm - Fri Apr 25, 2008
Well, for some silly reason, I have to work today. It's sooooooooooo pointless. Weve had a total of about 7 or 8 customers all day, and made no profit for the store at all. I've even had enough time to randomly post on my website... Oh well, at least I'm getting paid time and a half :)
Mornings
6:42am - Thu Apr 24, 2008
Well this is the second day of my early mornings plan. Got up today at 5am, without a hitch, no snooze buttons, just straight awake and got to working on my personal projects, its strange, usually I set my alarm to 6:30, spend an hour snoozing and lazing about until I finally get myself out of bed and rush my morning to get to work. But somehow... I have incredibly easily woken up at 5.
